Sunshine Village has discovered in Setouchi city, Okayama Prefecture, a large site of flat land by the water. It large enough to accommodate our theme to build hundreds of individual cottages in a village. There will also be sufficient space to construct a variety of shared community facilities such as a multi-purpose clubhouse, fitness centers, tennis courts, church/concert hall and BBQ zones.
Our seaside location introduces many exciting opportunities to make the most of the breathtaking views of the Seto Inland Sea. Our Clubhouse will enjoy glorious sunset views of the bay and bike & walking paths will contour the shape of the shore.

Setouchi is a city located in southern Okayama Prefecture.
The city has an estimated population of 38,000 with 15,396 households. This indicates very few empty homes with a thriving community which is also home to many young families. The total area covers 125.51 km2.
The modern city of Setouchi was founded in 2004, by the merger of the former towns of Oku, Osafune and Ushimado. The name Setouchi is derived from the Seto Inland Sea or "Setonaikai" in Japanese. Setouchi City faces the Inland Sea on its eastern and southern parts. The locate climate is moderate which is perfect for the many rolling hills of olive groves. The main industries of Setouchi are fishery, agriculture, pottery and tourism.

Sunshine Village meets the Land of Sunshine!
Okayama Prefecture, due to its high average of sunny days compared with anywhere else in Japan, is nicknamed the Land of Sunshine! Due to its mild and consistent weather, Okayama is a pleasant location to reside or visit all year round.
This abundant sunshine allows the orchards of Okayama to produce strawberries, peaches, grapes, olives and pears which are prized for their sweetness and aroma. Hands-on fruit picking experiences are possible at many farms in Okayama where fresh fruit can be consumed on the spot.
Setouchi City is the gateway to all of the islands that take part in the "world famous" Setouchi Art Festival which include Shodoshima, Teshima, Naoshima, Ogijima, Megijima, Ishima and Inujima. With access to boat, our residents could visit each of the Art Festival Islands and also take fun excursions to popular Japanese port cities such as Osaka, Kobe, Takamatsu and Matsushima.
